Sue is a skin camouflage practitioner based in Leicestershire covering the East Midlands area.
Sue trained with the British Association of Skin Camouflage in 2005 and is fully insured with a wealth of experience in camouflage cosmetics. As well as providing skin camouflage consultations, Sue also undertakes expert witness report work.
Sue’s background as a make-up artist is a great advantage for her camouflage work. She enjoys being able to teach people to effectively conceal a scar, vitiligo, rosacea, psoriasis or a tattoo. She also appreciates that such issues can really affect a person and knows that the results, achieved with camouflage products, can make such a positive difference to a person’s confidence and self-esteem, this is what she find so rewarding about this aspect of her work.
In 2007, after volunteering at Nottingham City Hospital, Sue became a Regional Co-ordinator for Look Good Feel Better and helped to set up this service at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. Here, with the help of other volunteers, she provides skin care and make-up workshops for ladies going through cancer treatment, showing them how to emphasise their eyes and eyebrows, when they have lost, not only their hair but lashes and brows as well.
Sue is also able to produce Expert Witness reports for personal injury/negligence cases, which includes a skin camouflage consultation and medico legal reports with assessment of the costs involved to meet the client’s requirements for the use of camouflage products and ancillary items.
